Perth-born J studied at the WA Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and Edith Cowan University. Theatrical credits include Jerry Springer: The Opera (Und. Montel – Sydney Opera House), Rent (Ensemble – Eventainment), Hair (Margaret Mead – Eventainment) and Anthems for Doomed Youth (Yellow Glass Theatre/Blue Room Theatre). A former finalist in the Sydney Cabaret Showcase, J. has supported Paul Capsis (Showqueen) and Rhonda Burchmore (Souths Juniors) as well as providing backing vocals for Michael Crawford at the Perth Entertainment Centre. Other performance experience includes The Helpmann Awards, performing the National Anthem at ANZ Stadium for the Qantas Wallabies vs England, various corporate and fundraising events, and providing vocals for Perth ensemble Lola Goes To Town and the WA Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Outside life in the theatre, J. is an accomplished children’s choral director and educator, having worked in schools in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne. J. has worked extensively with the Gondwana Indigenous Children’s Choir and Sydney Children’s Choir, as well as KMIEA Victoria, the Australian National Choral Association, and co-directing the thousand-voice children’s choir for the NSW Catholic Performing Arts Festival.
